The scope of the Portal was expanded in 2022, when it became part of the SciLifeLab Pandemic Preparedness Program. Specifically, the Portal began to include data on pathogens other than SARS-CoV-2 and general pandemic preparedness topics (e.g. antibiotic resistance). The Portal relaunched in 2023 as the Swedish Pathogens Portal in order to ensure that the scope of the Portal was clear for users. It is an important 'next step' in ensuring that the Portal is an effective pandemic preparedness resource. |
