Zusammenfassung: | The trainee shall analyze the systems of the nuclear island whose single failure will jeopardize the plant safety (i.e. create a deviation from normal operation, so-called “design basis conditions”). The analysis will be performed with comprehensive tools such as ‘functional analyses’, ‘failure mode and effect analyses’ or ‘fault trees’. During the internship, the trainee will analyze some important systems of the NPP (front line system and/or support system) and elaborate the template of the analysis for future work on other systems by other engineers. The final result of the work will be a list of design basis conditions with the associated root causes (list of single failure of systems) in a template to be defined by the trainee. The trainee will have to manage interfaces with system engineers, safety engineer, architects of the nuclear island.
