Zusammenfassung: | Network Function Virtualization (NFV) has recently become one of the most attractive technologies in telecommunication industry due to its ability to realize Network Services (NSs) on general-purpose hardware hence replacing traditional middleboxes. Therefore, NSs can be put on the market, maintained and upgraded more easily and timely which creates a great potential for increasing the usage value of network resources. This paper exploits this paradigm addressing the NFV architecture provisioning the huge computational capacity required in the NS to support the resource allocation strategy proposed for elastic optical networks (EONs) based on resources utilization optimization using a proposed and analyzed squatting-Kicking model (SKM) strategy. |
