SMILE: towards a data analytics system for low-resource edge devices

In this thesis, we research on the feasibility of developing a database management system intended for low-resource edge devices. In order to do so, we review state-of-the-art implementations of modern databases and provide a first design of both a buffer and storage manager for such a system.
