Zusammenfassung: | In this project it has been done the characterization of a group of materials used as dry hydromulch to see its capabilities to supress the growing of weeds in perennial crops. The weeds cause so many troubles to farmers. Plastic mulching is a technique used to avoid its growing. But this is a cause of static pollution into the fields because of the plastics are not well removed and they remain scattered during years. We will focus on two types of test, punching and tensile. The hydromulch shall consist of a recycled paper base, a binder material and a fibrous material, as usual. We got some first samples of which we choose 4 because of its good mechanical properties, then we got ready to manufacture them by our own and we decided to reinforce some with more quality materials.
