| Zusammenfassung: | Recent research works on stainless steel open sections showed that the flexural buckling curves for stainless steel in EN1993-1-4 need to be revised. It is necessary to conduct an extensive analysis on the behavior of stainless steel angle and channel columns analyzing the influence of the interaction of flexural buckling with other buckling modes and the torsional or local buckling. The study will be based on numerical analyses comprising several stainless steel grades, cross-section sizes and member slenderness. New buckling curves will be proposed. |
