Zusammenfassung:Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) is a basic need in our personal and professional lives. However this basic service is really different depending on the country and even community where it´s delivered. In organizations like Médicins Sans Frontières we are working in locations where the digital divide is very noticeable and we have to deal with basic Internet connections and usually through satellite links where we can find some inherent issues like high latency or low bandwidth, with expensive prices. This project aims to do an evaluation of the current network infrastructure status, consider pros and cons about the possible solutions and ways to improve the situation with deeper visibility and remote control. We´ll try to find the technology that fits better with our situation taking into account some solutions available in the market. We will define a pilot in the field to test the solution emerged from the project study, to finally check the results coming from the first test and decide if this is a good solution for the needs in these kind of scenarios and therefore, we can standardize the new infrastructure.
