La cort de la reina Elionor de Xipre a Catalunya

The paper studies the exile’s court -into her own natal country- of Queen Eleanor of Cyprus, a daughter of Infant Peter, uncle of king Peter the Ceremonious. In 1353, Eleanor married Peter of Lusignan, who, afterwards, was king of Cyprus, and forced away from the the island in 1380. On the basis of archivistic records, the study explains which were Eleanor’s properties in Catalonia, the attorneys sent to Cyprus in order to regain her dowry or to collect her incomes, which were their attorneys in Catalonia and the officers and servants of her court, not only Catalans but natives of Cyprus.
