Zusammenfassung:The impact of the diagnosis and admission to the hospital for children and adolescents requires integrated care. It is a transversal, descriptive and correlational study, with a mixed methodology. The scales of measurement used in adolescents are the SF-36 questionnaire that assesses the quality of life related to health, the CD-RISC-10 questionnaire that assesses resilience and the MAAS scale, which measures the awareness of the teenagers. The final sample was 77 adolescents in the quantitative study, of these 13 also participated in the qualitative study, along with 11 mothers and 7 fathers. We observed that the quality of life scores of boys and adolescent girls is precarious. The vitality of quality of life aspect can represent an indicator in the differential diagnosis and can determine the severity of the adolescent. The female sex presents a worse quality of life than its male counterparts. Resilience and consciousness present considerably lower scores than the normative population and are comparable with the clinical population of adolescents. Resilience only correlates positively with the dimension of vitality. Awareness maintains positive correlation with almost all dimensions of quality of life.
