Zusammenfassung: | The aim of this paper is to analyse publications on the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) over the last 65 years, identifying trends in its evolution. Using bibliometric techniques, the study carried out a systematic literature review using data from the Web of Science database, which indexes highly cited journals in various areas of research. The comprehensiveness and multidisciplinarity of the database, combined with the use of Vosviewer software, facilitated the analysis. 694 articles published up to December 2021 were identified. The analysis indicates a growing trend in publications related to the BSC, with notable collaboration and dispersion in journals from different areas. Most of the studies are qualitative, including case studies and questionnaires as primary data collection methods. The main themes explored include the application and integration of the BSC as a management model, mainly in large private sector companies, with a lesser incidence in small and medium-sized enterprises and public and non-profit organisations. |
