A-7541, A-7864; map ref. 215653/633171), prior to the construction of Highway No. 16 linking the Moza Junction to western Jerusalem. The excavations, undertaken by the Israel Antiquities Authority and financed by the Netivei Israel National Transport Infrastructure Company, were directed by J. Vardi (A-7541, A-7864) and S. Mizrahi (A-7864), with the assistance of S. Kisilevitz, Z. Matskevich, M. Oron and H. Makhlin (area supervision), N. Nehama (administration), M. Kahan, V. Essman and Y.
