Zusammenfassung: | In February 2014, a trial excavation was conducted in a private house on 14 el-Qirami Street, in the Muslim Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem (Permit No. A-7573; map ref. 222031/631696) with the aim of investigating the remains of antiquities that were damaged during unauthorized works. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority, was directed by E.D. Kagan, with the assistance of N. Malka (administration), V. Essman and Y. Shmidov (surveying and drafting), E.J. Stern and B. Dolinka (pottery), I. Lidsky-Reznikov (pottery drawing), N. Zak and I. Derlzon (plans and location map) and a team of laborers provided by the contractor. |
