Jerusalem, the Old City

In June 2015, a trial excavation was conducted in a house at 18 Hush Shawish Alley in the Muslim Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem (Permit No. A-7419; map ref. 222017/631751), after antiquities were damaged when unauthorized infrastructure work was carried out. The excavation, on behalf of the Antiquities Authority, was directed by E.D. Kagan with the assistance of V. Essman and Y. Shmidov (surveying and drafting) and E.I. Delerzon (plans).
