Be’er Sheva

In December 2011-January 2012, a salvage excavation was conducted on both sides of Yehoshua Hankin Street in Be'er Sheva' (Permit Nos. A-6350, A-6351; map ref. 180633-778/572256-393; Fig. 1), prior to widening the road. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and financed by the Be'er Sheva' municipality and the Israel Lands Administration, was directed by S. Talis, with the assistance of V. Lifshits , D. Dagan, D. Yegorov and A. Filin (area supervision), Y. Al-'Amor (administration), M. Kunin and A. Hajian (surveying and drafting) and the Sky View Company (aerial photography).
