Zusammenfassung:The current state of research in the field of stirred tanks across diverse industrial sectors places significant focus on the design of stirred tanks, turbine blades, and baffles. This research involves a numerical investigation which focuses on examining the velocity field in a tank subjected to mechanical agitation through a Rushton turbine, particularly in turbulent flow conditions. The study utilises a Newtonian fluid as the working medium and explores the influence of various factors, including the number and placement of baffles. The investigation employs a specialised calculation code called CFX 18.0. The numerical results are analysed to determine and discuss the impact of geometrical parameters, such as the number two, three and four shape, and spacing between vertical tubular baffles, on the power characteristics obtained for each impeller type.
