Following decades of idiosyncratic representations, it is only fitting that a period of sucprecisely the undertaking of Doru Lixandru’s in the reviewed book. As a historian of Romania’s political modernityh consequence is revisited from a proper critical angle, , the author has a solid background in intellectual history, including a PhD in social sciences obtained at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (Paris) and the University of Bucharest. |
