The ethnomedical knowledge of a society is influenced by various variables, including religious traditions. Among these religious customs is fasting during Ramadan. In Saudi Arabia, there is a lack of published data regarding the traditional customs and ethnomedicinal plants used during the holy month of Ramadan in Makkah. Here and for the first time, ethnomedicinal plants and their traditional practices for therapies during holy month of Ramadan in Makkah, Saudi Arabia are explored.
