Zusammenfassung: | A novel magnetic adsorbent was synthesized by solvothermal method for the removal of arsenic from aqueous phase by adsorption. This adsorbent comprises bamboo charcoal loaded with magnetite and humboldtine particles, and it was synthesized by solvothermal reaction between bamboo charcoal, ferric nitrate, and graphite in a medium of mixed solvents of ethylene glycol and water at 180℃ for a period of 3 h. Batch adsorption experiments were conducted using a known amount (0.1g) of adsorbent sample with a fixed volume of arsenite solution at an initial concentration of 100 ㎎/L. The mixture was stirred at 400 rpm at room temperature at a solution pH of 6.5 for a period of 24 h. The addition of graphite enhanced the generation of magnetite particles but decreased the amount of arsenic adsorption. Equilibrium adsorption studies showed a maximum adsorption capacity of 19.6 ㎎/g and the applicability of the Langmuir isotherm model. |
