This book is unique in content, shape, and character. It is all hand-lettered by the author in fifteenth century chancery script and includes illustrations. It is a combination of text and recreational material. Much of the material is new, it seems to me. The book treats toroids of many varieties and is written in such a way that the good high school student can follow the development. Included are models for construction of accordion polyhedra, bilunabirotundas, knotted toroids, and illustrations of the mapcoloring problem applied to the construction of polyhedra.-PEAK.
