Zusammenfassung:Mixed mesodermal tumor (MMT) is potentially highly malignant and rarely involves the ovaries. When it does, however, the prognosis is dismal. Cytoreductive surgery and the use of new chemotherapy is expected to improve this prognosis. We report a case of preoperative left ovarian MMT, suspected to be due to local recurrence or localized peritoneal recurrence. Localized solitary intraperitoneal tumor after colorectal cancer surgery may yield a favorable outcome in surgical resection if recurrence is peritoneal. For other primary tumors, it is useful in determining the treatment course. This is, to our knowledge, the first report of ovarian MMT growing over time. retrospectively.
