Zusammenfassung:A 43-year-old man was admitted to our hospital for surgery of cholecystic polyps. Laboratory data revealed no abnormal hepatic disorder, but did reveal the presence of CA 19-9 (69 U/ml) and CEA (3.8 ng/ml). US examination of the liver showed macular, high echoic spots in the entire parenchyma, and CT revealed diffuse, low density areas, approximately 2 to 15 mm in diameter. Cholecystectomy was performed, and dissemination of black or grayish white, or rarely reddish brown, nodes were observed in the liver. The histopathological findings showed signs of von Meyenburg complex in the biopsy specimen. Von Meyenburg complex is considered extremely rare, and in most reported cases it is found at autopsy.
