Zusammenfassung: | Malignant cells derived from extra-genital organs rarely can been seen in gynecologic smear samples, and its occurence rate is 5 to 10 cases in 100, 000 materials. Most of metastatic uterine carcinoma were derived from gastric carcinoma and breast carcinoma was rare in our country. We encountered a case of metastatic uterine carcinoma from the breast (papillotubular carcinoma with scirrhous type), therefore, the cytologic findings of cervical scraped smears were studied and compared with those of the fine-needle aspiration smears. Beside the literature reviewed clinically. As the result, in a case of metastatic uterine carcinoma from the breast carcinoma, almost cases had local recurrence and/or the metastases to the other organs and complained abnormal genital bleeding. Cervical scraped smears revealed following cytological characteristics. Uniform and small round malignant cells were mainly arranged in sheet like pattern and often linear pattern in the bloody pack ground. The long and short axis of nuclei distributed in the range of 8-12μm (mean 9.4μm) and of 6-11μm (mean 8.4μm). Most of malignant cells presented only one nucleolus. These cytologic findings correspond to those of fineneedle aspiration smears obtained from lobular carcinoma of the breast. The above suggested that histological type of the breast carcinoma metastasized to the uterus was lobular carcinoma infiltrated to the stroma in scirrhous pattern. |
