Zusammenfassung:The discourses and legal reproductions arising from the consumption of alcoholic beverages from a Foucaultian perspective represent the object of this study when analyzing the concept of biopower in the public dimension, the social and cultural relationship, as well as the economic one. The study is classified according to its focus on qualitative research, whose approach is descriptive based on documentary analysis. The research findings present the analogy of biopower, concomitant with biopolitics, coeval by the sociopolitical and marketing perspectives of alcohol, associated with the economic potential of the sector, in the generation of jobs and the high taxation of the State. The presence and consumption of the substance stigmatized by the standards accepted by society stand out, despite scientific efforts, and actions by the State that demonstrate its harmful power over individuals. Furthermore, the efforts of the State to implement measures to prevent accidents or even to raise awareness and education in traffic are limited and do not fulfill the role of regulatory agent.
