Zusammenfassung: | A practical method of pulse characterization using a simple mathematical pulse model for near-fault pulse-like ground motions on the inland crustal earthquake is proposed. By using the proposed method, the pulse characterization and evaluation of the response of buildings for near-fault ground motions on the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake are presented and the validity of the using method is confirmed by comparing the time history and response spectrum of the pulse models with those of the observed records. Futhermore, the elastic story drift angle response characteristics of tall buildings subjected to the near-fault pulse-like ground motions are evaluated and indicate the higher mode excitation caused by multiple-pulses including longer and shorter period pulse. |
