| Zusammenfassung: | Road accidents are one of the biggest challenges to public safety worldwide. Although there are many factors that contribute to these accidents, drink and drug driving remains one of the most dangerous but avoidable risk factors. The radiography of road accidents in recent years shows an increasing propensity to use banned substances behind the wheel, even though Romanian legislation does not allow any degree of use. This paper, based on official information provided by the Romanian Police, explores the impact of this behavior on road safety and the measures needed to combat this serious problem. |
