AVIATION NOISE - PROBLEM SPECIFICATION

The dynamic growth of air transport is a source of aviation noise, especially felt by people near major airports located near metropolitan areas of thousands of people. The article presents the authors' holistic view of the problem of aviation noise, pointing out direct and indirect sources of noise emissions, social and legal conditions and sample research results. First, the research problem is introduced. This is followed by an analysis of the legal status and the ICAO approach to aircraft noise management. The topic discussed was illustrated with examples. Finally, the authors' observations from the conducted research are indicated.
