Zusammenfassung:A new spiroalkaloid, 7-epi-javaniside (1), was isolated from the Cameroonian plant Pauridiantha callicarpoides, along with seven known compounds viz., javaniside (2), sweroside (3), hymexelsin (4), scopoletin (5), 7,7`-dihydroxy-6,6`-dimethoxy-8,8`-biscoumarin (6), 7,7`-dihydroxy-6,6`- dimethoxy-3,3`-biscoumarin (7), and 4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzoic acid (8). The structures of the new alkaloid, as well as those of the known compounds, were elucidated by detailed spectroscopic analysis including 1D and 2D NMR and by comparison with the literature data for related compounds.
