Zusammenfassung: | The current study aimed to verify the effectiveness of a counseling program based on humane therapy in developing gratitude and hope among postgraduate students and to identify the extent to which members of the experimental group retained improvement in gratitude and hope in the long term. Psychometric validity and reliability were assessed, and the study was applied to a sample consisting of 18 female postgraduate students at Al-Jouf University. They were distributed into two groups: an experimental group, comprising 9 students on whom the counseling program was applied, and a control group, comprising 9 female students, who did not receive any counseling intervention. The counseling program was implemented for a month and a half. The results indicated the effectiveness of the program in developing gratitude and hope among the members of the experimental group compared to the control group. Furthermore, it was found that the members of the experimental group retained the effect of gratitude and hope in the long term. Based on the results of the study, the researcher formulated some recommendations, including the need to utilize the program for the developmental aspect to enhance postgraduate students' preparation for life appropriately. |
