Zusammenfassung: | Religion is the source of objective moral values and obligations that can also be declared as the fundamental beliefs of true religion. This article develops and unites the scholarly perspectives of Muslims and Christians on moral values to establish harmony, unity, and peace between Muslims and Christians globally and to provide a forum where both scholars can respond to common challenges. It argues that accurate moral values necessitate belief in God's existence, as if God does not exist, every evil and criminal activity would be permitted and objective moral values would crumble. The article encompasses Professor John Hare's views on moral values while conducting interviews in the United States at Yale University, and a summary of the common responses of both religions on moral values will be discussed. |
