Zusammenfassung:Drug-induced neutropenia is relatively rare, but it is a severe and unfavorable prognostic complication of pharmacotherapy. One of the main causes of drug-induced neutropenia is the use of cytostatic drugs - an integral part of the treatment of many rheumatological diseases. There are no practical methods for early diagnosis or prevention of drug-induced neutropenia. Successful treatment of this condition is based on the principle of rapid recognition and immediate withdrawal of the drug, the use of which is potentially the cause of the pathology. It is important for practitioners to be alert to the risk of drug-induced neutropenia. It is necessary to raise the awareness of healthcare professionals about the methods of diagnosis, prevention and management of patients with these conditions. The article presents a clinical observation of a patient with reactive arthritis in whom developed drug-induced neutropenia while taking sulfasalazine.
