Zusammenfassung: | Lipschutz's acute vulvar ulcer (Ulcus vulvae acutum) is a rare cause of acute genital ulceration of non-venereal origin. Even if its pathogenesis remains unknown, several studies described an association with primary Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. In this article, we report the case of a 13-year-old girl, who developed a sudden and extremely painful papulonecrotic vulvar lesions, in whom biological and serological tests suggested a previous EBV infection. The management was essentially based on the prescription of analgesics. The evolution was self-resolution without relapse or scarring in average of 10 days. This entity, often mistaken for other infectious causes of genital ulcers, deserves special attention from pediatricians and gynecologists.
