A Study of a Vocational Education Curriculum on Pneumatic Control

In recent years, as the application of pneumatic control technology has expanded, it is an urgent matter to train production engineers engaged in pneumatic control systems. However, as educational curriculum and teaching materials are not well developed, vocational education on pneumatic control is not sufficiently done. Therefore, it is indispensable to study the curriculum and teaching material development aiming at fostering pneumatic control technicians who will become immediate fight at the production site, and to develop those results to vocational education. In this paper, we examined the educational curriculum for pneumatic control engineers by organizing necessary technical elements. Then, we prepared a textbook on the basics of pneumatic control and developed it to education for vocational training instructors. Finally, we measured the degree of mastery to confirm the effect. As a result, we confirmed that the mastery degree was improved. We have also developed teaching materials with the pneumatic positioning system necessary to effectively implement the proposed vocational education curriculum.
