Zusammenfassung: | The Kochi University of Technology faculty personal rating system, which started in 2001, is briefly explained in this article. The faculty evaluation consists of three main elements : 1. educational contribution to the university ; 2. research activities ; 3. off-campus social contribution, university publicity and research fund-raising. The items evaluated for educational contribution in the system are described in detail here. The most important component of educational contribution evaluation is classroom teaching. The system of lecture evaluation by students in our university is also explained, since the results of lecture evaluations by students are a component of the formula for deciding the numerical evaluation of each lecture. |
