Zusammenfassung: | Effects of the wear of opener roller teeth tips in a bale opener used in opening process of spinning on the sizeof opened (plucked) tufts were cleared through experiment by a tuft plucking test equipment and plant tests atspinning mills. As results of these tests, the following were cleared. 1) In experiment by a tuft plucking test equipment, the size of plucked tufts becomes smaller as those teethtips worn. The size of the tufts decreases as the degree of wear of the teeth tips increases consequently.. 2) In plant tests at spinning mills, as the teeth tips worn so the size distribution of plucked tufts spreads outand its average value and coefficient of variation increases. 3) Difference between 1) and 2) are explained as follows. In actual bale opening machine, bale are fed to openerroller with constant ratio automatically, but in test equipment, the teeth pluck into bale with constant depth. |
