Vibrational Nuisance due to Weaving Machines and Its Preventive Device

After analysis was made on the transmission of vibration in wooden houses due to weaving machines, various preventive methods were tried, which, however, were found to be. ineffective. A new device, “Balancer”, has been developed. It electronically synchronizes the motions of a couple of weaving machines, balancing the movement of the centers of the gravity caused by their slay motion. The effectiveness of the device was confirmed not only by simulation analysis but also in field tests with numbers of weaving machines in mills.
