The Characteristics of an Atomizer and its Position to be Placed Considering the Evapolation of the Mist
This paper gives the characteristics of an atomizer when the injection air pressure and the suction lift of feed water are varied. Economical condtions of an atomizer are as follows : (a) the injection air pressure is 26 cm Hg, (b) the quantity of the injection air is 1325-1435 cm3/s, (c) the suctio...

Zusammenfassung: | This paper gives the characteristics of an atomizer when the injection air pressure and the suction lift of feed water are varied. Economical condtions of an atomizer are as follows : (a) the injection air pressure is 26 cm Hg, (b) the quantity of the injection air is 1325-1435 cm3/s, (c) the suction lift of the feed water is 35 cm, (d) the water quantity is 0.12-0.45 cm3/s, (e) the speed of the water particles at the nozzle tip is 147-158 m/s, (f) their radii at the same place are 4.1-11.5 μ. While the spraying range is theoreticaly determined considering the evaporation of the water particles ; in reality it is a space of about 4 m in length and 1.5 m in width and in height. As it is undesirable that the mist adheres to the wall or to the working machine, the above-menhoned space is substantially necessary between the atomizer and the machine. |
