Zusammenfassung:A calculation procedure to estimate the size distributions of the products from a continuous tumbling fluidized bed coater, in which particles were mixed perfectly, was developed. Seed particles with a size range of about 50 to 200μm were coated in the coater by atomizing the suspension of clay particles. Measured particle size distributions of the products under steady state were compared with predicted results. Reasonably good agreement between the two showed that the calculating procedure was useful for predicting the size distributions of the products from the continuous tumbling fluidized bed coater.
