Zusammenfassung:The influence of processing temperature on the modification of pure-aluminum by nitrogen ion implantation was studied experimentally. Surface hardness and electrical resistance increased with decreases in processing temperature, but strface wearability was independent of processing temperature. It was concluded that control of processing temperature is necessary in surface modification by ion implantation.
