Zusammenfassung:A 32-year-old male was referred to us with complaints of a progressively increasing white spot in his right eye, following a lamellar corneal tear. A diagnosis of traumatic intracorneal cyst was made. The cyst was successfully treated by chemical cauterization using 96% ethanol. At the final follow-up, no recurrence of cyst was noted. We conclude that lamellar corneal tears should be sutured to avoid complications like development of intracorneal cyst. Aspiration of cyst content followed by repeated irrigation of cyst cavity with 96% ethanol and balanced salt solution can help in successful resolution without recurrence.
