Q Fever in California
Coxiella burneti, the causal rickettsia of Q fever, has been recovered from dustladen air on a dairy in Southern California, and from dust-laden air on a sheep ranch in Northern California. The signficance of these recoveries of the organism from a contaminated environment is discussed.
