Zusammenfassung:The effect of molecular adhesive, 6-(3-triethoxysilylpropylamino)-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-dithiol-monosodium salt (TES) on the adhesion between titanium and epoxide adhesive was investigated. For TES-adsorbed Ti plates the metal surfaces are linked to TES by the reaction of ethoxysilyl groups of TES with inorganic OH groups on Ti oxide surfaces of the plates after heat treatment. TG-DTA measurement of mixtures of triazinethiol model compounds and epoxide to study the reactivity of thiol groups in TES towards epoxide showed that the reaction rate for epoxy groups is influenced by the basicities of the thiol groups. After the adsorption of solvent, the adhesive strength of untreated adhesive samples is influenced by hydrogen bonding, while TES-treated adhesive samples formed chemical bonds between epoxy groups in epoxide and Ti surfaces via thiol groups on TES. Since the reactivity towards epoxide of thiol groups is higher than that of polyamideamine, the chemical bond density at the interface is higher than the crosslink density of epoxide.
