Successful pregnancy and delivery in a patient on chronic hemodialysis

A pregnancy in a patient undergoing chronic hemodialysis treatment for 4 years was managed successfully. She is a 32-year-old woman, and her menstruat periods were almost regular after the start of hemodialysis. She was found clinically to be 24 weeks pregnant. A danger of premature labour occurred at 31 weeks, but successful pregnancy was maintained until 38 weeks. During the delivery and puerperium, she had a little trouble. The infant showed no congenital abnormality and developed normally.
