School curricula are not considered as to be subjected to political alternation. We would easily think that they are for experts only. For the last twenty years, schools have been taking into account our society's expectations that are more and more numerous and varied. As a consequence political leaders have had to make choices, sometimes disregarding scientific references. Writing a core curriculum of knowledge and skills should restore the balance. (DIPF/orig.).
