Zusammenfassung:In this essay, I study a drawn line on Pascal’s manuscript page and the successive editions from Arnauld/Nicole to Sellier/Ferreyrolles that ignore it, change it or take it into account. Via a consideration of this line I address editorial decisions that determine what is considered to appear as a fragment, and to examine how these decisions orient the ways the fragment is positioned in the Pensées, and what it might signify.
