Can old dogs learn new tricks? An account of an experimental course using the Internet in the classroom

In this paper, we present an account of an on-going experimental class which exploits the World Wide Web as the main source of course content and e-mail as the principal communication medium. The ensuing situation in which the teacher no longer controls course content or even the intelligible input is discussed as well as new ways of establishing course objectives and evaluation procedures.
