Zusammenfassung: | Objective: We evaluated the role of surgical therapy for Hinchey I II diverticulitis that is recurring, in which conservative therapy does not work, or that forms a fistula. Method: We performed laparoscopic colectomy for 14 cases of Hinchey I II diverticulitis from January 2011 to October 2016. These 14 cases included 7 of recurring diverticulitis, 5 of diverticulitis in which conservative therapy did not work, and 2 of diverticulitis which formed a fistula to the bladder. Results: We completed all cases without conversion to open ileostomy or covering ileostomy. Mean operation time was 250.46 min, mean blood loss was 143.85 ml, and mean post-operation hospital stay was 7.2 days. There were no postoperative complications or recurrences. Conclusions: Laparoscopic colectomy for diverticulitis may be a safe method if we understand the features of diverticulitis. |
