Zusammenfassung: | The seton method is effective in treating lateral or anterior low intersphincteric fistula. To overcome the risk of deformity and delayed healing associated with this treatment, we present a modified seton procedure. The aim of this procedure is to minimize the sphincter muscle divided by seton. Fistulous tract is separated into two sections and an internal section between primary opening and primary abscess is slowly divided by seton. To minimize the risk of recurrence of this procedure, two important points must be mentioned here: (1) The fistulous tract between a primary opening and a primary abscess must be completely divided by seton. (2) Adequate drainage must be provided. |
