Zusammenfassung:Twenty-eight patients with colorectal perforation except for traumatic, iatrogenic, and capsulated perforation visited our clinic between January 1970 and December 1994. These cases were divided into two groups, survival group (22 cases) and death group (6 cases). Factors which could affect the prognosis of the two groups were examined. The factors were elder age, shock, peritonitis due to stool, and leucopenia. During treatment, adequate anti-shock therapy and the appropriate method of the operation was considered to be very important.
