A Case of Colonic Cancer Developed in a Blind Loop

A 58-year-old female was admitted. to our hospital for close examinatios of anemia in November 1985. She had undergone abdominal surgerys four times during the past 33 years. She finally possessed a blind loop in the right-hemicolon. Ulcer formation in the blind loop of the colon was shown by radiographic examination of the small in testine. Right-hemicolectomy inclucling the blind loop was performed. Resected specimen showed a colonic cancer arising in the blind loop of the colon, measured 55 X 80 mm in diameter and internal fistula existed between blind loop and ileum, perhaps due to the cancer. This case is a very rare case with a colonic cancer developted in a blind loop.
