Zusammenfassung: | Familial polyposis of the colon disease having been considered to be a comparatively rare one is gradually increasing owing to recent progress in the diagnostics of the digestive tract. From the personal clinical experience of two cases (one was Gardner's syndrome), the following conclusions regarding the policy for the cure have been reached : 1) This disease occurs frequently among younger generation. Polyps are observed in large numbers in the digestive tract of the patient. Indicated are trends of familial occur-rence and canceration. Therefore, when a large number of polyps are observed in the digestve tract, it is important to take this disease into consideration. 2) Ultimately, this disease may often reach the stage when it is suitable for the total removal of the colon ; but in the early stage, polypectomy should be given first con-sideration, because endoscopic polypectomy can be carried out safely at this stage. If, how-ever, canceration is verified by pathological inspection, complete removal of the colon will become the most suitable remedy. |
